Mortgage heavyweight Newrez hired DF&A to help turn 90,000 square feet of a former convention center into a comfortable and invigorating place to work. Our interior design and finish work took the office space created by DII Architects and turned it into a rich and varied workspace that accommodates a range of needs and uses for all 500 employees. Using differing furniture layouts and specifications, we created different typologies of spaces for work and socializing. Within each distinct environment, we then prioritized both comfort and visual appeal. A sophisticated materials palette warms the walnut veneer cubicles, the custom-furnished seating and dining areas, and the collaboration spaces, and a robust art collection adorns the walls where colleagues gather.
